Here at HMR we are a well established family run business with over 16+ years experience in supplying, installing & repairing domestic & commercial domestic appliances

My journey began when i found out my partner was pregnant with our first born child who is now called (Holly)

I wanted to find a long term job what i enjoyed, so i was lucky enough to find a NVQ course that was accepting applicants

so without hesitation i signed up and completed my course what gave me a NVQ level 1 & 2 in electrical & electronic testing, I then went on to complete my first aid course, pat testing course, megger testing course, Integrated & Freestanding installation course, coshh course & manual handling course

Along side doing my course's i was working for a appliance reuse centre where i gained a years worth of priceless knowledge

 

I then worked directly for Hoover - Candy as a field service engineer

I also completed there 6 week domestic appliance training course in Wales

 

I then become a field service engineer for comet where i also completed a 8 week training course in Birmingham

 

I then applied for a job with BSH Home appliances (Bosch/Neff/Siemens) and got the job position,

I completed there 8 week training course in Milton Keynes, i absolutely loved the job position but the areas we covered meant i was driving over 200 miles a day on top of carrying out 6-10 jobs a day

by this time i was a father of 3 to Holly, Mason, Ruby as ruby had just been born

 

So that's when i made the decision to start up my company and become self employed

 

so i started HMR

 

I absolutely love my job role, I enjoy meeting new people, I enjoy building up my clientele, but most importantly i enjoy nothing more than seeing my customers smile when i take away so much pressure & get there appliance up & running as we all know what a inconvenience it can be to have a broken washing machine, dryer, cooker, dishwasher or fridge freezer

When i worked for a company we was obliged to charge certain amounts. But since working for myself i love that i have the option i can apply discounts on jobs where possible, I can also apply NHS workers discount, plus it allows me enough time to run my soup kitchen where we provide Hot meals, Warm clothing, Family essential food parcels, Kids Christmas toys & lots more to family's in need and less fortunate than ourselves.
